Using EasyASP Menus

This is a short tutorial on how to use and navigate around EasyASP's Menus.

Section 1: Using the Menu's

You may not be aware of this but EasyASP has 3 different menu systems depending on what you are currently doing in the program. There is the main menu, the menu that is visible when you are working on a file. There is the Web Menu, the menu visible when you are viewing a page in the browser. Finally there is the default menu. This menu is visible when you have no files or browser open or when you are viewing a graphic.

  1. Section 1.1: Using the Main Menu

The main menu contains many of the tools you will use in the program. All tools are availible in the menus and there are some that are there that are not available in the toolbars.

    1. The File menu contains all of the basic file operation tools like open, save, print, close the program, etc.
    2. The Edit menu contains all of the edit functions such as cut, copy, paste, undo, redo, select all, find, and find/replace.
    3. The Tools menu contains all of the major tools of the programs like opening browsers, color coding, program options, etc.
    4. The Wizards menu allows you to open any of the many dialogs in the program from here along with the program templates and wizards. This is in case you can't find them in the toolbars
    5. The Tags menu contains just what it says. all of the tags used by the program
    6. The Scripts menu contains the tags for Java and ASP scripting along with the prebuilt scripts that are included with the program.
    7. The Toolbars menu allows you to open and close the toolbars at any time
    8. The Window menu contains all of the window controls such as tile, cascade, and it also contains a list of all the open windows so you can switch between them at any time
    9. The Help menu contains all of the help stuff for the program like this program and registration and contact info.

  2. Section 1.2: Using the Web Menu

The Web Menu contains the tools that you would use when you are browsing the web. These have been limited because EasyASP is not designed to be a web browser. You will only find here what you need to view pages.

    1. The File menu contains all of the basic file operation tools like open, save, print, close the program, etc.
    2. The Go menu contains the basic navigation tools I have given in EasyASP. These include going to a page you want and to EasyASP's homepage and other help pages.
    3. The Toolbars menu allows you to open and close the toolbars at any time
    4. The Window menu contains all of the window controls such as tile, cascade, and it also contains a list of all the open windows so you can switch between them at any time
    5. The Help menu contains all of the help stuff for the program like this program and registration and contact info.

  3. Section 1.3: Using the Default Menu

The Default Menu is open only when you have nothing else open and gives you a very limited number of options. This menu is also visible when you are viewing a graphic.

    1. The File menu contains all of the basic file operation tools like open, save, print, close the program, etc.
    2. The View menu contains all of the major tools of the programs like opening browsers, color coding, program options, etc.
